Mechanical and electrical engineering services for preparation of a report concerning the existing mechanical and electrical systems serving the four apartment buildings consisting of approximately 150 apartment units.
Field visits and survey of the existing mechanical and electrical systems in order to determine the existing conditions and identify deficiencies.
Four alternate HVAC systems with respect to separate metering were evaluated for each individual apartment unit. Cost estimates were prepared for each alternate HVAC system. The four systems consisted of the following:
- Gas fired furnace with split air conditioning system.
- Split heat pump system with electric heat.
- PTAC units with hot water heat.
- PTAC units with electric heat.
The upgrade of the existing electrical infrastructure and related cost estimates were included in the report.
